The city is in a road or natural harbor, between the skirts of the mount Montgó (753 mts. of height), and on the feet of a hill crowned by an ancient castle.
The port divides two types of coast: the one of the north, called "Les Marines" with sand beach with little deep waters, splashed of rolled stone beaches of river, to the opening of small brooks.
The one of the south, "Les Rotes" is a rock beach that is transformed into the birth of the end of San Antonio, in cliff with small water coves you cold by the filtration of fresh water originating springs of the Montgó.

There are good communications by highway (National 332 and A-7 autoroad), distando 95 km. of the cities of Alicante and Valencia. By sea there are boats with daily exits to the island of Ibiza and Formentera.
